ABOUT ME...
I’m Kelly, a mountain instructor whose life has been shaped by open horizons, rocky ridgelines, and a stubborn curiosity for what lies just over the next summit. My journey into the outdoors began over twenty years ago in Spain, roaming the mountains with my loyal dog by my side, joining local walking groups, and eventually standing on the highest peaks of the Sierra de Tiras. Those early adventures ignited a lifelong commitment to wild places and the skills needed to move through them safely and confidently.
Today, I live and work in Eryri National Park, also known as Snowdonia, where I split my time between mountain walking, rock climbing, and exploring every crag, path, and skyline I can get to. I’ve trekked in the High Atlas, stood on Toubkal in North Africa, and travelled to Nepal to walk at altitudes of 5,200 metres. These experiences have given me a deep respect for both the beauty and the seriousness of high mountain environments.
I’m passionate about sharing that knowledge with others. Whether you’re taking your first steps onto a mountain path or looking to sharpen your skills, I love helping people grow in confidence, competence, and enjoyment outdoors. I hold recognised qualifications from Mountain Training and I’m also a certified fitness coach, blending technical expertise with practical, real-world experience to help you move better, feel stronger, and connect more deeply with the mountains.
