Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately not. Most activities require 100% attention and dogs can compromise the safety of the running of these.

I am a dog lover and will consider suitable dogs as part of a bespoke or private walking day only. This is to be discussed prior to booking.  Dogs are not able to join us on any rock climbing days as the venues are not suitable.

Can I leave my kids and go elsewhere for the day?

No, all under 18's must be accompanied by at least one responsible adult per family group.

What if the weather is bad?

We will consider an adverse forecast of weather warnings 24 hours before an activity in order to make alternative arrangements. Adverse weather is out of my control and if an activity is cancelled prior to the day you may also be offered a refund.

Otherwise walking adventures will carry on regardless of a bit of wind and rain, and sometimes the blustery weather can add to the challenge!

Beginner Rock climbing is best in a 'relatively dry' environment for enjoyment and safety. North Wales can be challenging with the elements, but fortunately the indoor wall is a great wet weather alternative. Expect to get a little wet regardless and weather will be considered in the choice of venue.

What about toilets?

This depends on the activity. Outdoor activities will be mostly toilet free environments, and joking aside you will find plenty of rocks and bushes to crouch behind! Llanberis offers conveniences in the village, and the Snowdon hikes have toilets on route, depending on availability. Welcome to the great outdoors!

Where do I park?

There is plenty of parking available in Llanberis. Mostly pay and display but free parking is available depending on time of year. If you are joining a Snowdon hike, a map with these details will be sent  upon booking.

Rock climbing venues will be arranged in the week before the activity and most are free parking.

I've heard there's a cafe on Snowdon

The Snowdon cafe remains closed for the most part of 2022 dues to train track maintenance issues. There are 2 cafes on the lower flanks but are not guaranteed to be open. See the latest from the Summit Cafe.

How fit do I need to be

You need to have a baseline of relative fitness for any of my adventure days. Walking and climbing involves some effort, but you do not need to be an athlete! If you can comfortably manage a few miles on your weekend walks and are not harbouring any significant injuries or impairment, then you will be fine!

My ethos is introducing people of all abilities to the outdoors. So if you are worried about any issues around this please get in touch prior to your booking.

Where can I stay?

Most of my activities are run around the Llanberis area. Depending on weather climbing venues can vary, so you can expect to travel up to 45 mins for your activity on some occasions.

The area offers many campsites and B&B's which can all be found online.

Will my 4 year old be able to get up Snowdon?

As a general rule, my adventure days are best suited for ages 7+.  I don't have any strict rules around ages but babies and toddlers would have to be considered as part of a bespoke booking only, that allows decisions around their ability and safety not to affect other group members. This applies to rock climbing days too, please get in contact for any questions around this. Bespoke and half days can be tailored around the much younger climbers.
