Mountain Navigation for beginners

Perfect follow on from your basic Level 1 navigation with Kelly. You should have an understanding of map and compass navigation and be able to take a simple bearing to get the most from this workshop.

Mountain navigation starts with a good understanding of contours for steep ground, how to navigate off the marked paths and poor visability navigation for inclement weather. We will look at using mobile apps as an aid, how to read mountain weather forecasts and how to re-locate in poor visabilty.
