Grade 1 SCRAMBLER Crib Goch Traverse 

​​​Classic 'to do' scramble Crib Goch and its sister ridge Crib y Ddysgl. Enjoy a guided afernoon across the traverse safe in the knowledge you will not go off route and can relax and enjoy the ridge with your friendly and experienced mountain leader. Reward with a beer or tipple of choice AFTER the scramble. You will be in full daylight for the duration of the scramble and part of the walk off to the Llanberis descent route. Headtorches are required for the lower path.

Grade 1 scrambing is the lower level of difficulty. BUT that's not to say that scrambling isn't a challenging activity. This is a physically demanding day, it is not suitable to anyone that is new to mountain walking. The terrian is steep, the exposure is great and the distance is long. Grade 1 is commonly tackled 'un-roped', you will be expected to move with a steady pace and have no issues with being at height.

Please be aware that all mountaineering and scrambling poses risk and if you wish to attend a scrambling workshop for mountaineering skills (roped grade 2/3 scrambling) may I recommend a suitably qualified instructor (Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor). Please ask for advice on an advanced course for harder scrambles.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

Please read these terms carefully before booking.

Did you know that on some events, up to 50% of participants are unable to attend due to illness, injury, work commitments or other unforeseen circumstances? While I understand that life happens, frequent cancellations have a significant impact on my ability to operate a small business.

To protect the viability of Kelly Duffy Adventures (KDA), the following policy applies to all bookings:

✅ Cancellation more than 60 days before your event

* You will receive a full refund of monies paid.

❌ Cancellation within 60 days of your event

* No refunds will be given.

* No transfer to another date will be offered.

* No rescheduling will be offered.

* No credit notes will be issued.

This policy applies to:

* Open group events

* Bespoke bookings

* Private guiding

* Workshops and courses

When a place is booked, that space is removed from sale. Cancellations within 60 days rarely allow sufficient time to refill places, resulting in lost income and unrecoverable costs.

For bookings over £100, I strongly recommend arranging your own cancellation insurance. Providers such as the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) or SportsCover Direct may offer suitable cover. It is your responsibility to check their policy wording and ensure it provides cover for circumstances such as illness, injury, travel disruption or any other reason you may be unable to attend.

Event Cancellation by KDA

In the unlikely event that Kelly Duffy Adventures cancels an event, you will be offered either:

* A full refund, or

* An alternative date where appropriate.

These terms are in place to ensure the long-term sustainability of the business and allow me to continue providing high-quality mountain, scrambling and climbing experiences.

For confident hill walkers with a good standard of fitness, not recommended as your first scramble, attend a beginner scramble date prior to this event to see if you are happy and confident on this type of terrain.

Meet: at Llanberis Bus depot 2.30pm Expected finish 10pm

Distance: 15km 850m ascent 

Ages 16 + (under 18 with accompanying adult)

Parking: in Llanberis, we will take the sherpa bus into the moutain pass and complete the ridge as a circular to return back to your vehicle, please bring a headtorch for the walk off.

If you plan to stay the evening please book accomodation in Llanberis and check times for check-in as this is a sunset event. YHA and Royal Victoria can organise late check ins.
