You have called me a swan, a mountain goat, a rock gymnast, and even likened me to a French guide (my most memorable compliment). I just the love the flow of rock scrambling... but what is it?
What is scrambling? Scrambling involves navigating mountain terrain where you need to use your hands to climb through steeper parts of the paths. These sections can vary, being either short and enjoyable or sometimes longer and a bit more challenging. To have an enjoyable and successful day on your chosen scramble, it's crucial to be able to move efficiently on the rock and choose the right routes to avoid getting stuck.
My beginner route selections combine some mountain terrain where paths meet short scramble sections, you will have the chance to get more hands on and be eased into the more challenging sections gradually. Grade 1 scrambles vary in difficulty and are…
