Crib Goch Grade 1 Scramble

Grade 1 SCRAMBLER Crib Goch Traverse 

​​​Classic 'to do' scramble Crib Goch and its sister ridge Crib y ddysgl. Enjoy a guided day across the traverse safe in the knowledge you will not go off route and can relax and enjoy the ridge with your friendly and experienced mountain leader.

Grade 1 scrambing is the lower level of difficulty. BUT that's not to say that scrambling isn't a challenging activity. This is a physically demanding day, it is not suitable to anyone that is new to mountain walking. The terrian is steep, the exposure is great and the distance is long. Grade 1 is commonly tackled 'un-roped', you will be expected to move with a steady pace and have no issues with being at height.

Please be aware that all mountaineering and scrambling poses risk and if you wish to attend a scrambling workshop for mountaineering skills (roped grade 2/3 scrambling) may I recommend a suitably qualified instructor (Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor). Please ask for advice on an advanced course for harder scrambles.

For confident hill walkers with a good standard of fitness, not recommended as your first scramble, attend a beginner scramble date prior to this event to see if you are happy and confident on this type of terrain.

Distance: 15km 850m ascent 

Ages 16 + (under 18 with accompanying adult

Parking: in Llanberis, we will take the sherpa bus into the moutain pass and complete the ridge as a circular to return back to your vehicle
