Level: Challenging BUT suitable for beginners to mountaineering! Go off radar for one weekend...

Rookie Extreme is for beginners to Mountaineering, you must have a decent level of fitness and a BIG sense of adventure.

Beginners to grade 1 scrambling  and rock climbing welcome.... this event is designed to challenge those who have a good level of mountain fitness who want to be immersed into a weekend of adventure in the mountains of Dyffryn Ogwen.

Think mountain adventures, rock climbing, abseiling, navigation, heartorch exploration and team challenges....

Social and fun immersion into your weeeknd of everything mountaineering. 

Arrive Friday and relax in your mountaineers hut from 5pm. You can make your own food in the shared kitchen. Have a nice glass of wine and meet your adventure comrades for the weeeknd! Arrivals welcome anytime up to 10pm so plenty of time to arrive after work. 

The beautiful valley holds tales of heroic mountaineering through the years and is definately the Rookie Mountaineers playground of choice! Immerse yourself into a weekend of adventure…. Scramble a classic grade 1, have a go at rock climbing, take on an abseil and try your hand at twilight navigation with my team challenges.

FRIDAY: Arrive between 5-8pm

Eat, drink, prepare and rest ready for Day 1

SATURDAY: Day 1 Mountain Adventures!

Evening Adventure

SUNDAY: Continue Adventures….

5pm Onward Journey home

2 nights accommodation is £30pp (this is a shared facility with potential members of other small outdoor groups.)

Rock Climb & Abseil (all kit provided)

Grade 1 scramble (expect a little exposure)
